Joe Tehan

Planner | Senior Trail Designer

Joe Tehan cut his teeth in the professional trail building world  working on a hand crew on the nationally recognized Palisade Plunge trail near Palisade Colorado. He now brings his skills to the world of trail planning & design in a role that combines his skills and experience with his love for the outdoors. Joe has a long history of working on public lands, planning and mapping travel routes and has a thorough understanding of the recreational planning process and land use permitting. Combining his construction and field experience, mapping and evaluation skills, and his education in Outdoor Recreation & Environmental Science, Joe brings a diverse skillset to every project.

 

Joe's current responsibilities include trail assessment, design, and inventory mapping, as well as planning for safe, timely, and effective project implementation. Joe brings skill in GIS Mapping, Trail Design, Trail Evaluation & Sustainability Assessment, Trail Feature and Bike Park Design, Process Planning and Reporting, and Project Permitting. He also brings excellent client communication and interaction to his work. Based in Grand Junction, Colorado, Joe is excited to be involved in the many levels of planning, designing, and developing meaningful recreational resources throughout the country.
